Polysomnographic Technologist - Downtown Fresno Specialty Care

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for performing a variety of sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders, as directed by a physician. The incumbent functions as a member of the patient care team scoring, recording and documenting data associated with the monitoring of physiologic data associated with patients during sleep.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a health care environment required
  • Knowledge of scoring sleep studies and providing diagnostic reports for physician review required
  • Ability to score studies preferred
  • Bilingual skills preferred

 EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
  • BLS – Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
  • RPT – California Registered Polysomnographer Technologist required
  • RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technician required within 24 months of hire or transfer into position
