Job Summary:
This position is accountable for performing a variety of sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders, as directed by a physician. The incumbent functions as a member of the patient care team scoring, recording and documenting data associated with the monitoring of physiologic data associated with patients during sleep.Qualifications:
Education
- High School Diploma (required)
Licenses and Certifications
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
- RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - BRPT - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (required)
Work Experience
- Minimum two (2) years Experience in a health care environment (required)
- Knowledge of scoring sleep studies and providing diagnostic reports for physician review. (required)
- Ability to score studies. (preferred)
