Polysomnographic Technologist or RCP - Sleep Lab

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for performing a variety of sleep studies in order to diagnose the type and extent of sleep disorders, as directed by a physician. The incumbent functions as a member of the patient care team scoring, recording and documenting data associated with the monitoring of physiologic data associated with patients during sleep.

REQUIREMENTS: Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D. BLS - Basic Life Support and RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Tech) is required. Must have a minimum of two years experience in a health care environment and knowledge of scoring sleep studies and providing diagnostic reports for physician review is required. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to score studies. Bilingual skill are preferred.

Or for RCP,

This position requires: A) graduation from a two year AMA approved respiratory care program with an Associate of Science Degree B) an active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure; C) eligibility for the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) exam. Applicants with less than 6 months experience must successfully complete the RRT within 12 months of hire. Applicants with more than 6 months experience must have the RRT at the time of hire; D) a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) credential through the NBRC-National Board for Respiratory Care within 1 year of hire into a CardioPulmonary Lab position; E) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and F) demonstrated basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles. Bilingual skills desirable.

POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 50 hours per pay period, M - F 8:00 - 5:00 PM
