Job Description

This position is accountable for facilitating payer credentialing and medical staff privileging for contracted and employed physicians of affiliated medical groups.

This position provides support to the Physician Practice Services Department for provider payer credentialing and hospital privileging at partnering facilities. Collects and analyzes moderately complex data and information with ability to compile effectively into concise and well organized presentation. Incumbents in this position will use various PC software applications such as spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, databases, etc. to produce high quality reports, presentations or other documents.

Qualified individuals must possess strong project management skills including the ability to adapt frequently to changing work priorities. Must be detail oriented and possess high level of initiative, efficiency and critical thinking skills. Requires excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills with ability to work with all different levels within the organization.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two (2) years related experience required
  • Working knowledge of word processing and database operation

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
  • College Degree - 2 year preferred
  • College Degree - 4 year preferred
