Job Description

Valley Children's Healthcare, First 5 Fresno County, First 5 Kings County, First 5 Madera County, and First 5 Merced County, have partnered together to collectively coordinate a system of support for families that may have questions or concerns about their children ages birth to five meeting developmental milestones. Coined as Help Me Grow Central Valley, this effort exists to improve the early screening, identification and treatment of developmental delays in infants and toddlers to ensure they receive the services needed as early as possible, so they enter school ready to learn and thrive.

Working with the Help Me Grow Central Valley Advisory Committee, the Program Coordinator will facilitate all aspects of Help Me Grow Central Valley using the "Collective Impact" model as a framework for success, will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and will oversee the development of a long-term strategic plan to ensure operational and financial sustainability.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience working with family-serving organizations, collaborative community efforts, and/or with organizations serving children with special needs and their families is required
  • Experience managing collaborative, multi-organizational initiatives built on the collective impact model that includes a common agenda, tracking outcomes, integrating diverse activities, continuous communication, and a strong backbone team
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish highly desirable
  • Experience working with ethnically and linguistically diverse children, families and professionals
  • General knowledge of child development including use of screening tools to identify and address delays desired
  • Experience with developing and managing budgets and with marketing programs and services
  • Must possess the ability to work in a team situation, with little supervision, under deadlines and pressure and coordinate a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills needed
  • Must demonstrate behaviors consistent with those identified at Valley Children’s Hospital core value behaviors and affinity with the overall mission of Valley Children’s

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • College degree - 4 year required in social sciences, education, business, special education, early childhood development, or related health, human or administration services field
