Quality Coordinator RN - Quality & Performance Improvement

SUMMARY: This position assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital's overall quality and patient safety program. This position is accountable for: 1) supporting the organization's performance improvement process; 2) providing stewardship for the medical staff, nursing and other clinical professional peer review processes; and 3) identifying performance trends, as well as prioritizing and recommending improvements. Investigates specific areas of concern as identified by leadership. Provides consultation and assistance to medical, administrative, and other staff on peer review, performance improvement and other
quality of care issues; translates data into actionable information; and participates with the customer experience process for
monitoring and evaluating the quality of care and services provided to patients and families. Plays a role in the identification of
trends, formulating conclusions, and making recommendations for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an Associate's Degree in Nursing with Bachelor's Degree preferred, current California Registered Nurse licensure (RN) required. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred. Minimum of 5 years related experience. Four years progressively responsible experience and recent experience or knowledge of healthcare regulations including The Joint Commission, Title XXII and other regulatory standards. Candidate must have demonstrated progressive computer and presentation skills. Performance improvement and quality management experience are a plus. Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication as well as high level clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time 80 hours per pay period, Day shift
