RCP III - Respiratory Care Services - Night Shift

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for managing the respiratory needs of patients in the Emergency, Acute Care, and Critical Care units with consistency and a significant degree of independence under the direction of the Medical Director. The incumbent is expected to teach and deliver patient care at a proficient level in an efficient manner as well as serve as a resource to others within the scope of the Respiratory Care Practice Act and Valley Children's Healthcare policies.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) Minimum of three (3) years experience full-time equivalent respiratory therapy experience to include one (1) years of full time equivalent pediatric experience related to the specific area of practice. B) graduation from a two year AMA approved respiratory care program with an Associate of Science Degree C) an active California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) licensure; D) A Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT) E) Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and F) demonstrated basic mathematical calculation skills and understanding of age/cultural principles. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) HeartCode Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days; 2) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months: for NICU only; 3) PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 30 days

POSITION DETAILS: Full-time, night shift 7:00pm - 7:30am
