Regional Services Admin-VCMG - Mercy San Juan Perinatal

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Executive Director of Ambulatory Services, this position has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operations of Valley Children's Medical Group services within his/her jurisdiction. This position has direct accountability for all the day to day operations of each service or services. The position works collaboratively with medical, clinical, and nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery and customer satisfaction. Is also responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships and serving as a liaison for Valley Children's Medical Group working with providers, medical groups, referring providers, local hospitals, and IPAs and identifies and researches opportunities to expand local community's knowledge of Valley Children's services. Maintains fiscal accountability through the development, implementation, and evaluation of annual operating and capital budgets, provides administrative direction through the formulation of goals and strategic plans, and has 24-hour accountability of the services. Develops an effective working relationship with community-based organizations and local elected officials that creates benefits within the communities it serves. This position has the accountability to integrate in to the community through collaboration/partnerships in issues related to children's health and community health awareness. This position is accountable for the development of staff resources and leadership emphasis on the dyad leadership program. This position practices in accordance with Valley Children's Healthcare policies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: College Degree - 4 year in related field or Equivalent Experience required. Masters Degree In related field preferred. Minimum five (5) years increasingly responsible supervisory or management experience with demonstrated proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job required. Minimum three (3) years management experience required. Possess excellent facilitation, presentation and written/verbal communication skills. Excellent customer service and negotiation skills. Working knowledge of the medical industry, including reimbursement, medical technology, case mix, managed care organizations, demographics, financial modeling, statistics, and local/national healthcare trends.
