The Pediatric Ambulatory Treatment Center (ATC) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to providing specialized infusion therapy for pediatric patients. With a wealth of expertise and experience, our clinic effectively treats a diverse range of diseases and diagnoses, caring for approximately 2,000 patients annually.
At the ATC, we take pride in offering a comfortable and family-centered environment to ensure our young patients’ well-being. The outpatient unit features modern treatment rooms and an infusion center thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
Our patient population is exceptionally diverse, reflecting the complexity of the cases we manage. We serve patients with gastrointestinal diagnoses, as well as those from rheumatology, endocrinology, genetic medicine, nephrology, neurology, and pulmonology departments. The coordination of care and IV therapy for these patient populations is our key strength.
In addition to our infusion services, we provide outpatient laboratory services for patients with central lines, ensuring comprehensive and convenient care under one roof.
Our dedicated team stands at the forefront of our patient care, skillfully administering blood products, a wide range of IV therapy medicines, and fluids. They vigilantly monitor for side effects and collaborate closely with healthcare providers to ensure seamless and effective care for every patient.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing expert nursing care of complex patients, providing leadership, and serving as a resource and consultant in areas of specialty. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.Qualifications:
Education
- Program Accredited nursing program (required)
- Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
- Other - Other National Certification (required)
- PEARS - Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization - AHA - American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required)
Work Experience
- Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program (required)
Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual Skills Preferred.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Program within 12 months of hire or transfer.
