Registered Nurse - Gastroenterology Clinic - Part Time
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

The award-winning Gastroenterology Clinic at Valley Children’s Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and management of infants, children, and adolescents with gastrointestinal and nutrition disorders. The department offers focused programs for many gastrointestinal conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, motility disorders, esophageal reflux, gastritis, gastrointestinal bleeding, esophagitis and unspecified abdominal pain.

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program required.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Program - accredited nursing program required.
- College Degree - 4 year in Nursing preferred.
- RN - Reg Nurse required.
- BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required.
- FPR - Focused Pediatric Resuscitation within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
- PEARS - Ped Emergency Assess, Rec & Stabilization within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
