Valley Children's Willson Heart Center delivers top-tier pediatric cardiac care in Central California within a family-centered setting. Our pediatric cardiologists employ advanced technology for heart disease and defects, covering congenital and acquired cardiovascular conditions. The Cardiothoracic Surgery Program, staffed by surgeons from Stanford University School of Medicine, is part of one of North America's largest pediatric cardiothoracic surgical heart programs.
Comprehensive cardiovascular care at The Willson Heart Center encompasses congenital heart disease and various defects. Our pediatric cardiology team tailors personalized treatment plans for a wide range of heart conditions, from common to rare and complex cases.
The professional team ensures continuous care throughout a child's journey. Collaborating with pediatric cardiologists, we provide board-certified, fellowship-trained clinical expertise and support staff for compassionate, expert care in various pediatric specialties.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing proficient nursing care of complex patients and serving as a resource. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practice under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.Qualifications:
Education
- Program Accredited nursing program (required)
- Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
Work Experience
- Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program (required)
Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual Skills Preferred.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Program within 12 months of hire or transfer.
