Job Description
SUMMARY: The Respiratory Equipment Coordinator is a clinical specialist within the Respiratory Care Department, responsible for the oversight, readiness, and regulatory compliance of all respiratory therapy equipment and associated supplies. As a subject matter expert, the Coordinator ensures equipment availability, compatibility, and adherence to manufacturer instructions for use (IFUs), infection prevention standards, and clinical protocols. This role collaborates closely with Biomed, Sterile Processing (SPD), Materials Distribution, Infection Prevention, and vendors to maintain operational readiness and support performance improvement initiatives. The Coordinator also plays a critical role in supporting regulatory preparedness for Title 22, California Department of Public Health (CDPH), California Children's Services (CCS), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level II Pediatric Trauma standards.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years in a respiratory care setting with a strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and supplies required.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Two-year college degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field required, four-year degree preferred.
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire or transfer into the position required.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Tech (CBET)
