RN II - Neurology Clinic - FT/Days

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) isaccountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordinationof the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, andevaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. Thisposition practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive,within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with ValleyChildren's Hospital policies.

The Pediatric Neurology Practice at Valley Children’sprovides diagnostic services, medical treatment, and follow-up care to infants,children, and adolescents who have suspected or confirmed neurologicaldisorders. Our board-certified neurologists and epileptologists manage andtreat a variety of patients, including those with seizures, epilepsy,neuromuscular disorders and other neurologic conditions.

POSITIONREQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSNstrongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C)Life Support Certifications (see specifics below); and D) experience tocorrelate with Clinical Ladder level. Bilingual skills desirable.

Life Support Certifications Required: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS)within 30 days; 2) Focused Pediatric Resuscitation (FPR) within 12 months.

POSITIONDETAILS: Position is in the outpatient clinic working Monday throughFriday, closed on weekends and holidays, full time, 80 hours per pay period.
