About Us:
The Pediatric Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology Lab and Interventional Radiology/Perianesthesia Imaging unit at Valley Children’s Hospital offers services for infants, children and adolescents with congenital and acquired heart disease and is part of the larger Perioperative team. This unit services patients coming to the Cardiac Cath/Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology, and an Imaging modality that requires anesthesia for the Imaging procedure to be completed (MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, etc.). The Cath Lab features fully digital and completely computerized equipment, making it one of the most technologically advanced laboratories in the United States.  

 

This unit employs Registered Nurses, Perioperative Coordinators as well as Special Procedures, Patient Care and Cardiovascular Technicians. Each division works to provide their team with advancement opportunities that encourage self-development, offer process improvements, and ultimately work to improve outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

This position is accountable for monitoring and recording of data collected during procedures. This position is also accountable for monitoring and operation of the diagnostic imaging equipment associated with these procedures. This includes accurate communication and documentation of data processing/retrieval.

Qualifications:


Education

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
  • Program Graduate of formal accredited program in Radiologic Technology (required)
  • Program Cardiac Cath Lab only: Completion of the CV Tech training program within 90 days of hire and demonstrated competency within 90 days of hire (required)
  • Program Cardiac Cath Lab only: Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program. (preferred)


Licenses and Certifications

  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • CRT - California Radiologic Technologist License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required)
  • RT-R - Rad Tech Radiography - ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (required)
  • RHF - Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License - CDPH - California Department of Public Health (required)

  • Computer Skills Preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • On call shift requirements including nights, weekends and holidays. On call is expected to be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes.

$44.85 - $69.60
