Sr. Development Officer - Foundation

SUMMARY: Responsible for soliciting major gifts, planned gifts, and grant funds from individuals, corporations, private foundations, and government funding sources. Manages relationships with prospective donors and identifies, qualifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards these donors in support of network-wide funding priorities with a total revenue goal in excess of $1 million annually. Monitors all prospects to ensure positive and purposeful contacts and donor relations. Must be a highly energetic professional with a track record of building donor relationships and demonstrated ability to close significant gifts or sales.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires: A) a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; B) a minimum of five (5) years of successful experience including individual, corporate, foundation, and/or government solicitation; or equivalent sales experience; C) ability to understand the needs and interests of leadership and major gift donors in order to develop relationships between them and the hospital; D) demonstrated leadership and the ability to successfully manage multi-functional or diverse areas of responsibility; E) successful experience in securing appointments as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies; F) excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments and G) a valid California Driver's License (CDL) with a satisfactory DMV record and valid car insurance..

POSITION DETAILS: Full time Exempt position with some evening and weekend events required.
