Sr. Network Engineer - IT Support & Technical Services

SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of IT Technical Services, this position is responsible for assigning duties and tasks associated with coordination of work and the training and coaching of the network services team. Is responsible for the creation of extensive architectural and design documentation and provides network support for all Hospital information systems, infrastructure, connectivity, hardware and software in the areas of design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Provides tier 3 technical support and has expert understanding of network protocols, data storage, backup systems, system availability, directory services, messaging services, disaster recovery, and network design. Serves as the lead technical resource for the evaluation of new network technologies and development of integrated project plans and other required project documentation and leading the project team and communicating with the Executive Sponsor, IT PMO and other key stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Advanced level network certification (i.e. CCNP, and MSCE) are required. Position also requires five (5) years progressively responsible experience and experience which demonstrates proficiency in the skills and knowledge required to perform the job is prefered. UNIX and Linux operating systems experience is preferred.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time 80 hours per pay period.
