Job Description

This data analyst position is responsible for decision support and auditing?, ?trending and analyzing of ?various revenue cycle metrics and functions?, ?including making recommendations to management to ensure the continual ?improvement of the organization's revenue cycle? and payer reimbursement for both hospital and professional services.? Generates ad-hoc reports ensuring data integrity. Responsible to develop and maintain sustainable executive dashboards and scorecards to assist in the ongoing analysis of the hospital's initiatives.

Experience and Education

Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years’ related experience preferred.
  • Must have a broad based knowledge of hospital operations, including all aspects of the revenue cycle functions.
  • Must have a broad based knowledge of hospital information and financial systems.
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to the revenue cycle.
  • Must possess strong project management skills including the ability to adapt frequently to changing work priorities.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to create clear, actionable reports, and analysis from data.
  • Must possess the ability to achieve results in an independent manner.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative environment.
  • Must possess advanced proficiency in Excel and competence related to SQL relational databases and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Must have the ability to manipulate large amounts of data in an automated and efficient manner. Must possess strong conceptual, problem-solving and analytical skills.

Education / Licenses / Certifications

  • Four-year college degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Math, Statistics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Computer Science, or equivalent field required.
