Responsible for the direct supervision of the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologists and Medical Imaging Specialists for this area. This position requires a dynamic and motivating personality. Supervises day-to-day operational needs, staffing, schedules, customer satisfaction, change management, process & quality improvement, hiring, on-boarding & training, coaching, career development, appraisals and disciplinary actions, performance improvement initiatives and budgeting. Must have strong communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving. Must be a Clinical, Technical and Operational Resource. Performs all of the duties and adheres to the standards of a Diagnostic Technologist III with proficiency. Serves as a clinical expert and resource utilizing Computed Radiography, Direct Radiography, Fluoroscopy, (stationary or portable) and PACS. Demonstrates strong aptitude with process Improvement plans. Demonstrates experience or high level of competency in working with leadership to improve technical performance, implementing new technology and/or software applications, maintain or develop exam protocols, mentoring or teaching in respective specialty, and/or improving operational efficiency within their department. Maintains supplies and inventories for respective modality or work area. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care. Available after hours as a resource. Call and rotating shifts may be required. Will serve on an internal or external committee(s).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three (3) years experience in Diagnostic Radiology required
  • Minimum two (2) years increasingly responsible experience required
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills preferred

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required AND graduate of a formal program in Radiologic Technology OR College Degree – 2 years in Radiology required
  • BLS – Basic Life Support is required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
  • CRT – CA Radiologic Technologist License required
  • RT-R – ARRT Reg Tech Radiography required
  • RHF – Rad Tech/Fluoroscopy License required within (6) months of hire or transfer into position
