Surgical Clinical Reviewer - Infection Prevention
JOB SUMMARY: The Surgical Clinical Reviewer's chief responsibility is to collect and submit reliable data to the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS NSQIP). Using clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care, will collect data from various sources including medical records, surgery clinics, direct patient contact, accounts payable, and legal counsel. Working with Surgery staff, will identify opportunities for clinical quality improvement within the Surgery Departments.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research or medical records department required
- Clinical chart review and abstracting experience is preferred
- Quality improvement or patient safety knowledge and experience is preferred
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required, bachelors in nursing preferred
- Active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN)
- Certified Board Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS) preferred
POSITION DETAILS: Full time, exempt level role, Hours are Mon-Fri, off on weekends and holidays, hybrid work schedule with approximately 2 days working from home.
PAY RANGE: $47.50 - $70.60
DISCLAIMER: Final compensation will be dependent upon skills and experience.
