Temporary Labor Pool RN - Per Diem

SUMMARY: This position is accountable for providing competent nursing care for patients with common health problems, and is expected to deliver competent patient care to a full patient assignment. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Children's policies.

The RN will be responsible for fulfilling the COVID coordinator role. Such responsibilities include entering orders for Covid testing, answering COVID related questions, collaborating between Employee Health and leadership, updating hospital wide Covid related information, notifying county public health departments, calling on test results etc. Must be team oriented, have great communication skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program. BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Minimum 6 months of experience and mastery of RN I performance standards and accompanying competencies. D) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, Temporary, must be available to work 2 to 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, days shift
