Trauma Program Quality Coord RN - Quality & Performance Improvement

SUMMARY: Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Hospital's overall quality and patient safety program. This position is accountable for: 1) supporting the organization's performance improvement process; 2) providing stewardship for the medical staff, nursing and other clinical professional peer review processes; and 3) identifying performance trends, as well as prioritizing and recommending improvements. Investigates specific areas of concern as identified by leadership. Provides consultation and assistance to medical, administrative, and other staff on peer review, performance improvement and other quality of care issues; translates data into actionable information; and participates with the customer experience process for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care and services provided to patients and families. Plays a role in the identification of trends, formulating conclusions, and making recommendations for improvement.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires 1) Bachelor's Degree with a Master's degree preferred, 2) A valid CA RN license 3) Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is preferred. A minimum four (4) years progressively responsible experience and experience or knowledge of Healthcare regulations including TJC, Title XXII and other regulatory standards. Demonstrated progressive computer and presentation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Performance improvement and quality management experience are a plus. High level clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must.

POSITION DETAILS: Full time, 80 hours per pay period.
