Unit Aide - Inpatient Post Surgical Unit - Part-time/Days

Accountable for maintaining equipment and supplies and performing cleaning tasks to maintain a productive and clean environment. Assists with maintaining stock inventory levels, charge capture and reconciliation process, and work order submissions related to the environment of care.

The pediatric inpatient post-surgical unit, also known as Explorer, is a dynamic and fast-paced, 35-bed unit, specializing in post-surgical care for patients across various specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiac, and neurology. With centralized monitoring, our dedicated staff ensures high-quality care for every patient, offering an excellent opportunity for nurses to acquire diverse skills due to the rapid turnover and patient variety. The unit also plays a crucial role in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU), with 12 beds - 6 for seizure monitoring and 6 for surgical overflow cases. Our EMU rooms are equipped with specialty equipment to monitor and visualize seizure activity, leading to improved treatment and better patient outcomes. EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum six (6) months previous hospital experience preferred
• Bilingual skills desirable

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required
