Job Description

A licensed Registered Nurse accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. Practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two (2) years related clinical experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years work experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Program -graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • College Degree - 4 year in Nursing required.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position required.
  • RN - Reg Nurse required.
  • PICC Certification preferred.
