Volunteer Services Coordinator - Volunteers

SUMMARY: This position coordinates daily office operations of the Volunteer Services and Gift Shop departments. Accountable for the development and implementation of volunteer programs, activities, and initiatives. Appropriately recruits, screens, orients and places volunteers based upon organizational needs. Provides on going recognition, coaching and training for volunteers. Serves as a knowledge expert for all aspects of volunteering to ensure accuracy, consistency and effectiveness of the policies and procedures for non-employees. Works closely with all departments to determine and evaluate volunteer needs and serves as a liaison between the Volunteer Services, the Gift Shop and other departments within the network and within the community. Serves as back up in the gift shop staffing model. Serves on Hospital committees to represent the Volunteer Services department and volunteers. This position reports to the Manager, Volunteer Services & Gift Shop for supervision, direction and guidance of volunteer related duties.

POSITION DETAILS: High School Diploma/G.E.D. required, College Degree - 4 year Behavioral Science, Business Management, Health/Volunteer Administration or related field preferred. Minimum three (3) years experience in recruitment, job coaching, or project management required. Minimum five (5) years experience in a volunteer service, non-profit organization or healthcare setting preferred.

5. Requires flexibility in all aspects of the role as the needs of the organization change
